Mel Green Photography ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through melgreenphotography.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We are based in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Ontario, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

If you contact us through the enquiry form on this website, or by email, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, phone number if you include one, and the content of your message.
We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to book a session, to arrange and deliver that session. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site records limited technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. This happens through our hosting, security and content-delivery services, and is used to keep the site online, fast and protected from abuse. It is not used to identify you personally.

Photographs and client images
Photographs are the heart of what we do, and we treat the people in them with care.
- Images shown on this website are published with the permission of the people photographed, or their parent or guardian where the subject is a child.
- The terms covering how your session images may be used are set out in your booking agreement. If you would prefer your images not to appear publicly, tell us and we will not use them.
- Location data is removed from every image before it is published on this website.
- If an image of you or your child appears here and you would like it taken down, email us and we will remove it promptly. You do not need to give a reason.
How long we keep information
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our correspondence, and are deleted when they are no longer required. Client session records and images are retained in line with your booking agreement. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to withdraw your consent to our use of it. To make a request, email us using the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection and is protected by security monitoring and firewall filtering. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. Where children appear in our photography, we deal with their parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
